 Location:
Oceania, atoll in the North Pacific Ocean, about one-third of the way from
Honolulu to Tokyo. One of the last places to see in the millennium.

Historic Midway Islands, known to millions through the famed "Battle of
Midway" during World War II, is now open to the public. Midway served as a
U.S. Naval Base for over 50 years.
Midway Phoenix Corporation and
the United States Fish and Wildlife Service entered into an agreement whereby
the wildlife refuge can now be enjoyed by visitors. Unparalleled opportunities
exist for wildlife enthusiasts, snorkelers, scuba divers, history buffs,
researchers, sport fishermen, photographers, and others. The refuge is a place
where people can go to literally get away from it all, on one of the most remote
islands on earth.
