PYRAMIDS TO BE THE SIGHT OF ONE OF THE WORLD'S MOST SPECTACULAR MILLENNIUM PARTIES

"You have come tonight to the most fabulous and celebrated place in the world", with these words the 'Son et Lumiere' at the Pyramids in Giza - one of the oldest such shows in the world - sets the scene for an hour long programme telling the history of a place that has seen five thousand suns dawn and set. Now they will witness one of the most spectacular of sunsets and dawns. British Impresario Michael J. Cooper , on behalf of his company Artsworld Entertainment Ltd., has signed an exclusive contract with Hassan 'Lotfi' Mansour, owner of Swan Travel in Egypt, to present a Spectacular $5 Million Dollar, Twelve Hour Celebration at the Pyramids. The event is to be known as "The Millennium Celebration at the Pyramids" and is described as a Multi-Media, Multi-Faceted experience - an entirely new 'genre of Entertainment.  Mansour and Cooper have teamed-up again for a truly spectacular end to the Millennium with a production featuring dozens of live soloists from Ballet and Opera Companies around the world as well as from West End and Broadway Shows; Highlights from "Aida" and many more 'surprises'. The concept is also 'part' 'Son et Lumiere', part Laser and Special Effects but also includes recordings of the world's finest singers and orchestras; footage of major cultural events of the past century and spectacular recreations. Produced and Directed by Michael J. Cooper it will represent a 'unique' Cavalcade to Celebrate the artistic achievements of the past two thousand years. The final Programme will not be finalised until late in 1999 but that for 5,000 very special and privileged guests the 31 December 1999 will be a 'magical' and unforgettable experience.

Beginning on the banks of the Nile at Sunset as they release personal candles to float downstream and ending with a Champagne Breakfast in the shadows of the Sphinx to witness the first sunrise of the new Millennium, the Stage Show and massive Firework and Laser Display at Midnight will be but a 'part' of an evening that will include a Seven Course Banquet; a Ball with dancing to three orchestras under the stars; Scottish Pipers heralding Midnight as well as giant television screens from which guests will be able to witness events as they unfold around the world.  From the Royal Observatory Greenwich at Greenwich to the Great Wall of China; from the remote Pacific Island of Kiribati to Time Square.

Tickets do not go on sale until January 1999 but reservations are already being accepted for this unique event with prices ranging between $350 and $1,000 and special All-Inclusive Packages including Air Travel and Luxury Accommodation for Three to Five Nights in Cairo, as well as longer trips that include a Nile Cruise and visit to Abu Simbel, are now being finalised by Swan Travel in Cairo.
