Michael McIntyre BiographyMichael McIntyre (born 1976, Merton) is an English comedian. Michael McIntyre was raised in Hampstead, North London. Michael McIntyre was educated at the all-boys Arnold House School and attended Merchant Taylors' School, Northwood for 3 years before moving to a state secondary school. Michael McIntyre's Canadian father, Ray Cameron, was the producer, writer and director of The Kenny Everett Television Show and his part-Hungarian mother, Kati, was a dancer. Michael McIntyre's parents divorced when he was seven, after which his father remarried and moved to Los Angeles. Michael McIntyre attended Edinburgh University for a year before dropping out. Michael McIntyre has claimed that he cannot remember whether it was biology or chemistry that he studied while there. Michael McIntyre's first DVD Live & Laughing is the fastest selling debut stand-up DVD ever. He was nominated at the 2008 British Comedy Awards for Best Live Stand-up and nominated at the 2009 South Bank Show Awards for Best Comedy. In 2008 Michael McIntyre was the fastest selling comedian at the Edinburgh Festival and sold out five nights at the London's 3600 capacity Hammersmith Apollo Michael McIntyre has appeared twice on the BBC One's Live at the Apollo and twice on the The Royal Variety Performance. He has also appeared on several comedy panel shows, including Mock the Week, 8 out of 10 Cats, Have I Got News for You, The Big Fat Quiz of the Year and Would I Lie To You? (TV series). McIntyre is hosting an upcoming BBC show on Saturday nights entitled Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow.
