LEE EVANS BREAKS RECORDS
When tickets were released on 26 October 2007 for Lee's latest tour demand
for tickets for his record breaking show at London's 02 arena (Millennium Dome)
were snapped up inside one hour.
Fans rushed to snap up more than 18,000 tickets before noon , meaning Evans
has surpassed his previous entry in the record books to stage the UK's biggest
ever live comedy gig. With a total of 300,000 tickets available for the overall
tour, 'Lee Evans - Big - UK Tour 2008' will be the comic's largest tour to date.
Evans broke the Guinness World Record for a solo act performing to the
biggest comedy audience at the Manchester Evening News Arena in 2005 when he
played to a crowd of 10,108. With 15,000 capacity per night, the dates at London
02 Arena have served to cement Evans as the UK's favourite funny man.
